Graves January Students of the Month

Every month, Graves Elementary teachers select Student of the Month recipients based on their good character trait, efforts and hard working ethics.
Students are able to make "About Me" projects to highlight their talents that led them to being named Student of the Month.

RVLA Career Day

Thursday, January 18th, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Gross and his USBP Team came to visit The Little Giants at RVLA for Career Day. 
The students were provided with the opportunity to interact with the agents and learned about the important work they do for our community.

WHS Presents January Scholar of the Month: Ariana Benavidez

  
Congratulations are in order for CC Winn High School Freshman,Ariana Benavidez, from Mrs. Jacquez' English I classroom. 
Ariana was named EPISD Scholar of the Month for the month of January and rightly so!
Ariana possesses many qualities of a scholar which include desire and pursuit of knowledge, lasting dedication, and tremendous ambition.
C.C. Winn is proud of Ariana for her academic accomplishments and wish her luck in achieving her academic goals.

WHS Annual Student Panel

CC Winn High School hosted their 10th annual Student Panel on Wednesday, January 10th.  
Every year, Winn hosts this event while alumni are on winter break .
Maverick Alumni represented a variety of schools and gave great insight on what students could expect for their future.  
This event allows current juniors and seniors to network and the alumni help promote a positive transition to the new generations to come.  
Winn is very gracious for the alumni who volunteer their time and always reward them with a tasty lunch to thank them for spending their day with CC Winn High School.

Eagles Dissect the Issue

Friday, January 12th, Mrs. Juarez's 7th grade classes at Eagle Pass Junior High were able to get up close and personal with...FROGS!
The Eagles worked together to dissect frogs.  
They closely examined the kidneys, ovaries, heart, small intestine, and large intestine.
It was a great opportunity for the students to develop their exploratory skills!
Way to go Eagles!  


EPISD Resumes Regular Schedule

Classes for Eagle Pass Independent School District will return to regular schedule on Friday, January 19th.

RVLA Little Giants Cheer Hearts Out

​Rosita Valley Literacy Academy Little Giants Cheer Team participated in the Annual City Cheer Competition on Saturday, January 13th. 
The ​girls had an awesome performance and RVLA is extremely proud of their outstanding sportsmanship!
