WHS Attends Special Olympics

WHS' Life Skills classes enjoyed a fun-filled day at the 2023 EPISD Special Olympics event where they showcased their skills in events such as the shot put, softball throw, 200 meter run, and more.

Creativity Brews at CCWHS

Earlier this week, CC Winn English II teachers Mrs. Dunn and Mrs. Diaz, transformed their classrooms into Writing Cafes as their sophomores worked on one of their last essays before the upcoming EOC exams.

Students placed orders with their favorite baristas (aka their awesome teachers), enjoyed some yummy treats, and wrote some amazing essays!

Creativity was definitely brewing!

Stallions, Spurs, and San Antonio

On Wednesday, March 29th, Armando Cerna Student Council students took a field trip to San Antonio.  

They visited Incredible Pizza and then headed to the AT&T Center to support the Spurs at their last home game of the season!

EPHS Attends Special Olympics

 On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, EPISD hosted its Annual Special Olympics at the Student Activity Center.

This significant event allows athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness.

Participants demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families.

Roadrunners Pledge to Not be Mean Behind the Screen

The students at Rosita Valley Elementary showed their support on EPISD IMPACT WEEK!

Students wore blue to pledge against being mean behind the screen.

 On Tuesday, March 28th, Eagle Pass High School's NHS Guiding Angels visited the 6th graders at Armando Cerna Elementary.

WHS Girls Golf Nabs District Championship

 Congratulations goes out to CC Winn High School's Varsity Girls Golf Team as they are now DISTRICT CHAMPS!

The Lady Mavs came to play and they not only brought home the district title, but Becky Baltazar won District Individual Champ and Rosina Garcia Zua-Zua claimed the Runner-up title!

EPHS Prose & Poetry Advances to Regionals

  Congratulations to the Eagle Pass High School UIL Academics Prose & Poetry team.

These students spent countless hours both on and off campus practicing their pieces and deserve recognition.

Adan Melchor and Lilian Garza placed 1st and 3rd respectively and advanced to Regionals.

Cristian Mata placed 4th and advances to regionals as an alternate.

Special shoutout to Maya Olivas and Luciana Chapa, for doing excellent.

X Marks the Spot at EPHS

Eagle Pass High School would like to congratulate the EPHS NASP Archery Team for qualifying for Nationals last week in Belton, Texas, where they qualified with a total score of 1526.

The National Archery in the Schools Program has students learn focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.

Huge thank you to EPHS Ag Teacher, Mr. Carlos Cardenas, for being the coach of the 16 member team and pushing them to perform at their absolute best.
