Roadrunners Feel Christmas Spirit

 Mrs. Garza’s class at Rosita Valley had several students volunteer to read to the class some Christmas books.

Roadrunners Shoot to the Moon

Mrs. Cook’s 1st grade class at Rosita Valley learned about Moon Phases the week of November 28th. 

The students had a blast making moon phases with Oreo cookies. 

When they were done, they had a well deserved snack for their hard work.

 Mrs. Tellez' 1st graders at Rosita Valley learned about families and their traditions for their Social Studies lesson the week of November 28th.

They presented their Family Tree to their teacher and peers and discussed the similarities and differences in each.

Roadrunners Race to Library

 Mrs. Tellez' 1st grade students at Rosita Valley visited the library on Friday, December 2nd.

They were challenged by the librarian, Mrs. Maldonado, to an "I Spy" Christmas picture search and earned a beautiful incentive after completing their activity!

Plate Tectonics Investigation at Cerna

On Thursday, December 1st, Mrs. Chavez' students at Cerna Elementary completed a fun activity using oranges and toothpicks to internalize the eight major tectonic plates.  

They learned that there are three tectonic plate movements that create landforms.  

The individual pictures are of the  students that completed the task first.

EPISD Migrant Department Training

On December 1st, the Service Advocate Recruiters and the rest of the Migrant Department staff received updates on the recruitment of migratory agricultural working families and participated in team building activities. 

It was a great Identification & Recruitment (ID&R) Series Training by Region 20 staff.
