2014-2015 National Hispanic Recognition Program Award Recipients

Congratulations to Eagle Pass High School. Recently a group of  outstanding Eagle Pass High School students were recognized as
2014-2015 National Hispanic Recognition Program award recipients.

The College Board's National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP)identifies academically outstanding Hispanic/Latino High School students. Each year, the NHRP honors about 5,000 of the highest scoring students from over 250,000 Hispanic Latinos who take the PSAT/NMSQT. This year EPHS had eight recipients.

Congratulations to Andrea Salinas, Antonio Chong, Carla Hernandez, Carlos Rodriguez, Hugo Garcia, Karina Galvan, Noemi Tinajero, Senayda Saucedo.

In order to even be considered for the distinction, the students had to meet these requirements:
  • Take the PSAT/NMSQT in October of their junior year in High School.
  • Achieve a minimum required PSAT/NMSQT cutoff score
  • Receive a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or Higher
Congratulations to this terrific group of young individuals! We applaud their efforts and accomplishments and wish them a very successful senior year.
