Congratulations to Mr. Francisco Jimenez: October Teacher of the Month

The Eagle Pass Independent School District has partnered with local businesses throughout our city to highlight the Teacher of the Month program, which honors educators who have made a difference in our community.  The program recognizes outstanding kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school teachers in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Mr. Francisco Jimenez is presently the PPCD teacher at Kennedy Hall and services the special education students. He has been teaching for twenty years in different grade levels ranging from early childhood to 6th grade. Mr. Jimenez is also involved with the community by volunteering his time coaching the local youth in football, basketball, baseball, and karate.
As Kennedy Hall's PPCD teacher, Mr. Jimenez is dedicated to help the students, differentiates to meet individual needs, and is a fundamental part of Kennedy's educational paradigm. He has created a classroom environment that is innovating and nurturing. He helps his students get excited about learning by providing opportunities for them to develop a personal connection and love of learning. At Kennedy, Mr. Jimenez is called the "Superhero Teacher". If you drive by the school you can see Mr. Jimenez wearing his super hero cape in the playground or walking in line with his students. His teaching continues in the playground by having his students follow him over the playground bridge and sliding down the slide. Also, Mr. Jimenez has been a strong role model for so many of his fellow educators. He collaborates with his colleagues by assisting them with technology.
