Twelve Angry Mavs

Wednesday, October 30th, C.C. Winn High School’s English Department welcomed Mr. Marco A. Salinas, local attorney with the Knickerbocker, Heredia, Salinas & Salinas law firm. Mr. Salinas has been practicing law for 23 years in Eagle Pass and surrounding areas.
The students have been reading the play, “Twelve Angry Men” by Reginald Rose.
The play is about a jury who has to decide on the guilt or innocence of a young man.
Mr. Salinas spoke with the sophomore students about his real world experiences choosing juries and defending the rights of individuals.
The students learned about the history of the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights and Supreme Court case law pertaining to the right to a jury trial.
The students also had the opportunity to ask questions to Mr. Salinas on various topics discussed.
Maverick Nation greatly appreciates Mr.Salinas for giving of his time to visit with their outstanding students.
Go Mavericks!
