EPHS Alumni Inspires

Unforgettable, intense and fearless is how Monica Flores, Eagle Pass High School class of 2014, career in softball should be described.
From her Sunshine Kids Pre-K days at Early Childhood Center and Graves Elementary to being an Eagle Pass High School Eagle and then to her 5 college seasons with the NCAA Division 1 Southland Conference player at the University of the Incarnate Word.
Her career in softball is officially over.
A small percentage of athletes go on to become a college athlete and Monica Flores is a prime example that small town girls with big dreams is possible!
Almost 20 years of playing softball couldn’t be done without having a good education.
Monica received a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and was able to continue playing while working on her Masters degree in Education.
Friday, April 26th, Monica congratulated the Lady Eagles on their undefeated season in a video along with other former Lady Eagles.
Her and her sister wished them luck as they venture on to continue to win and further in the state playoffs.

Monica currently holds the city record of home runs in Eagle Pass.
Monica would like to thank all her former teachers, coaches, and administration for building the foundation for her success.
EPHS applauds Monica for being strong female role model of their students on and off the field!
Way to spread that Eagle excellence!
