Winn Band Prepares for Honor Band

CC Winn Maverick Band Wind Ensemble (1st Band) competed at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in Southwest H.S. in San Antonio, Tx on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
The Wind Ensemble was one of four bands who received Sweepstakes while being evaluated by a very tough panel.  Head Band Director, Ruben Rodriguez, is extremely proud of his students and directors who have been working hard.
They are in the process of submitting for Honor Band which, requires four recordings of our program.  This evaluation will come in the month of May and our goal is to advance to Area to become a finalist for Honor Band.
Winn's ultimate goal is to be selected Honor band to have a chance to perform at TBA (Texas Bandmasters Association) Convention in July.  This is the first time in Maverick history that they attempt this journey therefore they are making the most of it.
