Students in Ms. Byrne’s Chemistry class recently learned how to calculate molar conversions.
Monday, April 30th, the students put their knowledge to the test when they competed in the Chemistry Cookie Challenge!
Students were given recipes for various cookies in moles.
They had to convert the moles to grams then convert those grams into proper baking measurements such as cups, ounces, or tablespoons.
For extra credit, the students used the cookie recipe they converted and baked those cookies from scratch!
This was an excellent way for students to see that even the smallest ingredient makes a big difference!
