EPHS Presents November Scholar of the Month: Gaby Olivas

On November 8th, Gabriella “Gaby” Olivas was named November 2016 Scholar of the Month.
Her teacher, Mr. Ramon Morin, wrote the followin about Gaby on behalf of her campus who is extremely proud of her.
Gaby epitomizes what a high school student-athlete should be:  dedicated, hard-working, intelligent, respectful, and unique.  This amazing, young lady displays these characteristics each and every day. Gaby loves to actively participate in the day’s lessons in her classes and makes sure that her work is only grade “A” material.  She is one of those rare students who can light up a room just with her mere presence.  Couple this with determination that is second to none, and what we have is a student quenching her thirst for success. But her dedication in the classroom itself does not completely encapsulate her.  She is also a hard-working athlete that dedicates time after school to her craft in the shotput and discus for the Lady Eagles Track Team. Thus, Gaby not only succeeds in the classroom but does so even though sports take up much of her time.  Also, Gaby is heavily involved with her youth group at church as well as with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at school.  Her faith and family makes her a well-grounded person. This is the strength of Gaby’s resolve.
Congratulations once again to EPHS Scholar of the Month, Gabriella "Gaby" Olivas!
