Friday, December 22nd, was an eventful day for the students in Ms. Martinez' 7th grade Science classes at Memorial Junior High.
The Mavericks were visited by Ms. Martinez' sister and Southern Illinois University professor and researcher, Dr. Martinez.
Dr. Martinez brought her faithful drone with her for the students to be able to see all the great things drones are capable of.
Her drone plays a key role in her research at work and it was great for the students to get a peek into what scientific research entails!
