EPISD Police Department Officer of the Week - Lead Officer Efrain Cuevas

EPISD Police Department is pleased to announce their Officer of the Week – EPISD PD Lead Officer
Efrain Cuevas.

Efrain Cuevas began his career in law enforcement in 2000 with Eagle Pass Independent School District as a Substitute Security Officer. In 2001, Cuevas was hired as a full time Security Officer. It was only one short year later in December 2002 that he graduated from Middle Rio Grande Law Enforcement Academy and in January 2003, he began his career as a Peace Officer for EPISD Police Department. Cuevas holds certificates in Advanced Peace Officer, Field Training Officer, and School Based Law Enforcement. He also regularly attends active shooter response trainings. 
As a police officer for EPISD, Cuevas has served the district and community in the following areas: Eagle Pass Junior High School, Eagle Pass High School and D.A.E.P. He currently resides as the Lead Officer at CC Winn High School. He also runs scholarship drives for the students he serves at CC Winn High.
