EAGLE PASS HEROES HOST FREE TRAINING FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

Local organization, Eagle Pass HEROES, hosted a free training for parents of children with autism Tuesday, May 24, 2016.  The training was conducted by Any Baby Can, a non-profit agency from San Antonio which serves families with children and youth facing serious health or developmental challenges in Bexar County and surrounding areas.

Eagle Pass HEROES was formed by a local group of individuals who were interested in improving access to resources for children with special needs in our community.  A major component of Eagle Pass HEROES mission is to educate parents so that they can foster the development of their children.

The training covered topics related to the care and development of children with autism, including interventions, make and take resources and basic information related to autism.

Eagle Pass HEROES would like to thank their community partners, Doris Salinas-Sanchez and Realty Executives and Rodee’s Fried Chicken for sponsoring the event.

Thank you Eagle Pass HEROES for you dedication to educating our community and it's growing needs.
