The
students of Nellie Mae Glass are becoming true trailblazers. In a world so
overcome with television, video games, etc it is breathtaking to see students
want to go back to the basics of curling up with a good book. The Falcon Book
club is promoting writing, literacy, and the wonderful experience of students
being able to write and publish their own books. Falcon Book club would like to
thank Dr. Claudia Rodriguez-Wright and Dr. Martin Guevara Urbina whom shared
their personal experiences as authors and served as inspirational role models. Their
task was to instill a message of dedication, motivation, and of course
following your dreams to the students. A Sul Ross student, Aracely Pina, also spoke highly on the importance of continuing in your education and going to college. In turn Sul Ross would also like to
thank the Falcon Book club and their sponsors for a beautiful and inspired event. Falcon Book Club sponsors are Ariana Celedon, Diana Saucedo,
and Maria Soto. The unveiling of the book club books will be May 31st
and we know the world cannot wait to read them!
