Jose Jimenez - 2015 EPISD Teacher of the Year

EPISD 2015 Teacher of the Year
JOSE JIMENEZ
CC Winn High School

Mr. Jose Jimenez, of C.C. Winn High School, has been selected as the “2015 EPISD Teacher of the Year”.
Mr. Jimenez demonstrates every characteristic of an accomplished veteran educator.  He has and continues to exhibit outstanding dedication, professionalism, and a genuine love for teaching.  Although he has an extensive knowledge of his subject, he is always well aware of changes that are happening within the school educational system and attends professional development and training to broaden his skill set.  Jose has kept up with technological advances and incorporates all these skills in his classroom.  In addition to personal development, he has been the UIL coordinator for the past six years and has led    C. C. Winn High School to their first ever District Title in UIL academics.  In addition to leadership qualities, he epitomizes the definition of team player by consistently helping other teachers during difficulties with lessons or activities.  Mr. Jimenez is known as a “tough” but, extremely fair and approachable teacher that is admired by his students and respected by parents.  Mr. Jimenez has excellent rapport with his students and their parents. Most importantly Mr. Jimenez gives much of his own time for students that need additional help and encourages them toward success with his methods.
It is because of all these reasons that he is being awarded the title of “2015 EPISD Teacher of the Year.”
Our "Teacher of the Year" has been awarded $1000 from the Eagle Pass Independent School District. He will also receive dinner for 4 at SAGE Restaurant courtesy of Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel.
