WHS Lady Maverick Soccer All-District Selections

District 28 - 5A  girls soccer has just ended and now we have our CC Winn Girls Soccer All district selection.

First Team All District

Senior Karina Rodriguez -Right Wing Midfielder (Lead Scorer)

Second Team All District

Senior Yahiza Vaquera Moreno Defensive Midfield

Junior Julia Bermea - Midfield

All District Honorable Mention

Junior Nailea Esparza- Center Back Defender

Junior Samantha Garcia- Defender and Midfielder

Junior Karyme Martinez - Goalkeeper

Congratulations to all the Lady Mavericks Soccer team for one of the toughest season, but perseverance and resilience took over and Mavericks were able to complete the season without any major Covid situation and for this we give thanks to God!.

The Lady Mavericks also will give a “BIG THANKS!” to all of those who support the sport, especially CC Winn administration, EPISD administration, the parents, and our Athletic Director.  

Good Luck to all the Seniors in your future and never forget you have a Winn Family supporting you.

EPHS Headed to Regionals

Congratulations to the EPHS UIL Academics Prose & Poetry Team! 

Sophomore, Adan Melchor & Freshman, Lilian Garza both made it through the preliminaries and advanced to the prose finals with Adan securing 2nd place and an opportunity to compete at Regionals. 

Lillian earned 5th place in the finals. Cristian Mata, Albert Riojas, and Daphne Robledo round off the rest of the team.

EPHS One Act Play

EPHS One Act Play cast and crew was photographed preparing for competition at the C.C. Winn Auditorium on March 11, 2021. 
 The play is called “Voices” by Richard Lortz. 
Daphne Robledo & Sebastian Menchaca are the two leads and each won an individual award for All-Star Cast. Also part of the cast are Camila Van Der Maal, Jacqueline Morales, and Alberto Riojas.

Graves Elementary participated during EPISD Public School Week March 1st - 5th with week long fun activities students & staff enjoyed. 

From dressing up as Nerds, to wearing their new tie-dye tees, celebrating Dr. Seuss birthday, and kicking up their boots during the week. 

Tigers participated during their virtual meetings as well.

EPISD IMPACT WEEK

 This upcoming school year, Eagle Pass Independent School District will be hosting its Anti-Bullying IMPACT Week MARCH 8TH - 12TH. The purpose of this week is to raise awareness of the dangers that bullying can do to our students. 

IMPACT Week celebrates the awareness of gender tolerance, suicide prevention, and physical/cyber bullying. Programs like these are helping move EPISD to the fore-front of education systems by creating thoughtful and empathetic students who can work harmoniously together without fear of judgment. IMPACT Week will consist of a spirit week with dress up days.
