HWY 277 Construction

The construction detail on Hwy 277 will call for the South entrance of the Student Activity Center (SAC) to be closed intermittently for the next several weeks. 
Caution and limited visibility in that area is HIGHLY advised!
If you are needing access to the Student Activity Center, please use East entrance on 480.
We will provide updates on reopening as they are given to the district.

ECC Recognizes Room Mom

Mrs. Elam's Kinder class at ECC would like to take this time to give a roaring round of applause for their Room Mom, Mrs. Veronica Barrientos.
This year was a challenging one and Mrs. Barrientos helped ease it one day at a time.
Out of the kindness of her heart, she helped not only Mrs. Elam's class, but also the next door classroom and showered the students throughout the year with snacks, juice, and gifts.
Research shows students, parents, teachers and the school benefit from parents serving as volunteers in the classroom.
Thank you Mrs. B for always being there for the students and showing us kindness in action!

EPHS Present Years of Service Awards

On behalf of Eagle Pass High School's Administrative staff, they would like to express their sincere gratitude everything EPHS employees do to keep their school in tip top shape.  
Thursday, June 7th, the campus handed out the years of service pins for their staff.
Together as an Eagle family, they applauded the successes of their co-workers.  
Eagle Principal, Mr. John Cox is grateful to work with such a fine group of teachers and wishes everyone a restful and enjoyable summer.

Miner Receives Perfect Score

Seco Mines Elementary would like to congratulate all their students that received 100% on their Science STAAR!
One of the Miners we applaud is 5th grader Kylie Rodriguez.

Superintendent's Award of Kindness

Thursday, June 7th, EPISD Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Gilberto Gonzalez presented the 1st ever Superintendent's Award of Kindness.
Mr. Gonzalez recognized Mrs. Elam's ECC student, Mia DeLeon, for her outstanding citizenship and embodiment of EPISD.
She is the 1st recipient of this award for she always treats other with kindness, warmth, and friendship.
Mia is a recent Kinder grad and has achieved a 2nd grade reading level.
Congratulations Mia! 
Always remember to have courage and be Kind!

The afternoon was filled with laughs and MUSIC!
A big Lobo thank you to special guest Brando Mireles on Keyboard and Annie Lomeli on Vocals​.

Tigers Wish Principal Happy Birthday

EPHS Ends School Year With Ice Cream Social

Thursday, June 7th, Eagle Pass High School found a great way to beat the heat!
After the entire EPHS student body was released for summer, EPHS Administration treated their staff to a celebratory end of school year cake and ice cream treat. 
EPHS Student Council Officers remained on campus to assist with the serving of this "cool" surprise!
There’s no thing sweeter than ending the school year with an ice cream social! 
Way to go Eagle Admin!

WHS Final Senior Walk

Thursday, June 7th, the school year came to an and the Seniors at C. C. Winn High closed their final high school chapter. 
Filled with excitement and with tears in their eyes, the Class of 2018 took one last walk around campus in their traditional Senior Walk. 
The teachers and staff at C. C. Winn wish the seniors the best in their new journey.

Graves Elementary would like to congratulate Michelle Martinez & Janie Rodriguez for being recognized at the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 5th.
Eagle Pass City Council, BBVA Compass, and EP Parks & Rec. Dept. recognized them as BBVA Compass Stars for the months for May & June!
Both girls were awarded giant $100 checks for all their efforts!

Falcon 6th Grade Walk

Thursday, June 7th, Glass Elementary had its annual sixth grade walk! 
The entire campus gathered in the main hallway to bid their sixth graders farewell.

2017 - 2018 Silverline Superlatives

Tuesday, June 5th, CC Winn's Silverline Dance Team hosted a team banquet in celebration of their year of success!
The girls and sponsors, Denisse Villarreal and Selina Martinez, all gathered for an awesome pool party to beat the incredible heat.
The ceremony continued Thursday, June 7th, with the team's certificate presentation. 
Each girl was recognized for their efforts and dedication to the team. 
There were two standouts this season and they were awarded the titles of "Silverliner of the Year" and "Miss Jazz".
Captain, Tanya Garcia, was recognized as "Silverliner of the Year" and announced as  the new 2018 -2019 WHS Silverline Captain.
April Cordova was named "Miss Jazz" and was announced as the 2018 -2019 WHS Silverline Co-Captain. 
Both girls helped their team in many different ways and the future looks bright with them at the helm.
Congratulations on a terrific season Silverline!

Falcon to Attend 2 Summer Camps

Glass Elementary would to congratulate Falcon, Gordon Dobey for qualifying for Southwest Junior College's summer camp beginning June 11th.
Gordon is also one of the lucky few that will be jetting off to Dallas for the Lone Star Leadership Academy!

Cougar Senior Walk

Wednesday, June 6th, Sam Houston Elementary hosted a Senior Walk for the Class of 2018.
The Cougars are very proud of the graduating seniors and applaud all their successes.
The seniors recited their beloved Cougar Creed and walked the halls for one final time.

Top Tiger AR Readers

Wednesday, June 6th, Mrs. A. Libson announced Graves Top A.R. Readers per Grade Level and Top Tigers Overall for this school year!
Lianna Maus & Hector Guerrero were announced as the Top Tigers and both received certificates and goodies from Mrs. A. Libson for all their hard work!
All Top Tiger Readers received medals and enjoyed a treat from their Principal, Mrs. V. Soto Gonzalez.
