Earlier this month, CC Winn administration and department chairs received training on how to better respond to an active school shooter.
The training was conducted by Mr. Jose Montez, retired SAPD officer with 23 year of service and Law Enforcement teacher.
Mr. Montez trained department chairs with over the program ALICE: Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate.
He provided preparation and a plan for individuals/organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event.
