Thursday, March 29th, the excitement could be seen in Mrs. Ortiz' 5th grade class at Perfecto Mancha Elementary!
Students received their Caterpillar to Butterfly kit and the joy was insurmountable.
The Mustangs were able to experience 1st hand the complete stages of metamorphosis.
Students placed their caterpillars in the Larvae stage in individual containers and returned on April 3rd to find the caterpillar transformed into pupa stage (Chrysalis) and placed it the net habitat.
Monday, April 9th, the project came to fruition when 3 Butterflies emerged!
