April 16th -20th, Ms.Lopez and Mrs. Tellez' 1st graders at Rosita Valley Elementary had an awesome week learning about plants, plant parts and the function of each.
The students had an opportunity to create a Seed Collection from fruits and vegetables and enjoyed sharing with their peers what they learned.
They then planted a seed and will be observing its growth for the next couple of weeks.
