The group of girls recognized belong to the Del Rio/Eagle Pass United USAVolleyball Travel Team led by Coach Tino Cirilo from Del Rio, Texas.
Mr. Nevarez presented each player with a State of Texas Certificate of Recognition.
He encouraged them to enjoy their wins, learn from their losses, remain positive, and keep working hard to reach their goals.
He also encouraged them to give back to their community when the time comes.
DR/EP United currently ranks 33rd (out of 318) in the Lone Star Region and 356th (out of 4,008) in the nation.
The team recently competed in the "Stay in Texas" Tournament in San Antonio where they won the championship against some tough competition.
Currently, they are busy preparing for the upcoming 2018 Mizuno Lone Star Classic National Qualifier on April 14-16 in Dallas, TX.
