EPHS Social Studies Parent Involvement

Eagle Pass High School went back in time on Wednesday, December 12th in honor of their Annual Parent Involvement Night.
Students from various U.S. History classes were dressed in vintage clothing to represent various eras, Dual Credit History competed in various panels over the most influential person in history, the Psychology students presented on culture and diversity, and the evening culminated in the school-wide election.
After weeks of creating political parties, party platforms, campaigning and delivering campaign speeches, the newly elected House of Representative is from the Cruz Party with Jorge Raul Olivas and the newly elected Senator is from the Believer Party with Heriberto "Eddie" Morales III as their representative.
This marks the end of a three week end of term project presented by students in the EPHS Dual Credit Texas Government class.
Over 200 votes were cast in this election!
Way to go Social Studies Department!
