Monday, December 3rd, CC Winn's Cross Country Seniors Abegail Flores, Arleth Herrera, and Moises Villarrel, came together recognize their coach.
The seniors gifted Coach Garza with a basket and card as a token of appreciation.
As this was their final Cross Country season, they realized Coach Garza is much more to them than a coach; Coach Garza serves as a role model to cross country and track athletes.
The students took into consideration all he does for instance, not only is he a coach in the morning and after school but during the day he is a adaptive P.E. teacher.
An adaptive P.E. teacher helps students who have disabilities that make it difficult to perform traditional exercises and activities.
They create games and activities based on the specific needs of each individual child, as they work with various disabilities.
Coach Garza works with students at CC Winn, Perfecto Mancha, Sam Houston, Benavides and Armando Cerna.
Abegail, Arleth, and Moises would like to thank Coach Garza for all the time and dedication he puts into his programs and for always being there for them.
