Did you know that socks are the least donated items to the homeless?
Statics show that the homeless would rather have a pair of warm socks on their feet than a warm meal.
December 10th - 14th, C.C. Winn's Interact Club and Sponsor Ms. Becca Mancha collected over 600 pairs of socks for their Sock Campaign For the Needy.
The group ran the campaign on campus collecting socks through 2nd period classes.
The class with the most socks was Mrs. Camarillo's Dual Credit English 1301!
This class will be receiving a pizza party on Friday, December 21st.
The Interact Club would like to thank all those that donated to help raise awareness and contributed to this worth while cause.
The socks will be donated to different organizations in Maverick County.
