On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, Mrs. Olivares' leadership, as well as her yearbook classes at C.C. Winn High School, put together their creative writing skills to work.
Students were given the chance to enter the City of Eagle Pass Essay Contest; for this year's 2019 Festival De Luces Ceremony.
As the Christmas holiday is just around the corner, students from around the district and community were asked to write an essay with a written response finishing off the statement, "If I had one wish on Christmas Eve, it would be...".
Contest winners had the lucky chance to win a $50 gift card and Mrs.Olivares' students were more than excited to enter the contest.
On behalf of C.C. Winn High School, they would like to invite everyone to join the coloring and essay contest to kick off the Christmas spirit!
