Stallions Learn Fractions

Mrs. Flores’ 2nd graders at Cerna, closed the week learning fractions in a fun way. 

Students were able to cut their WHOLE pizza into equal parts, halves and fourths. 

Students worked on their fractions worksheet and fractions computer interactive activity while they mastered the fractions concept as they enjoyed their pizza!

All students were reading promptly at 10 am.

ROADRUNNERS ATTRACT LEARNING

 Mrs.Tellez' 1st graders at Rosita Valley had a great time learning about Magnets! 

They first predicted which items from the table attract and repel to a magnet. 

Then, they had an opportunity to test each item and check if their predictions were correct or incorrect.

EPISD FFA Represents at District Meet

Students from CC Winn and EPHS competed in the Winter Garden District FFA Fall Career Development Event held on the Peeler Ranch near Christine, TX.  

Eagle Pass FFA is proud to boast that all their teams advanced to area!

The results are as followed:

Chapter Farmer Range Evaluation - 1st Place

EPHS FFA Students Receive Scholarship

Congratulations to Eagle Pass High School Seniors, Garrett Purcell and Hanna Hardt, of the Eagle Pass FFA for placing first and second individually in the Winter Garden District  FFA Range Evaluation contest held on the Peeler Ranch near Christine TX. 

 Both Garrett and Hanna received scholarships from the Peeler Ranch.  

The duo was awarded by Mrs Peeler, owner of the Peeler Ranch

 After a week of learning about electrical current, Mrs. Dunn's 5th grade students at Armando Cerna Elementary created an edible model of a series and a parallel circuit.

 Coach Hammack and Coach Salazar would like to congratulate the Stallion Volleyball Division 3 team for two consecutive wins.

The girls would like to thank Mr. Leija for coming out and showing his support as part of the faculty.

 Ms. Salazar would like to congratulate three of her 3rd grader students for the most passed Imagine Math Lessons. She awarded each with a treat bag for a job well done.

Congratulations to Mrs. Ramon’s 3rd Grade Students at Cerna, Bentlee and Felipe, for reaching their 50 lessons on Imagine Math! 

They are the newest students to reach their goal and have earned a tasty lunch treat from their teacher.

Fire Drill At HBG

 Henry B. Gonzalez held a successful fire drill on Tuesday, September 27th.

The fire drills are done so that students and staff can practice how to evacuate the building in case of an actual emergency that requires everyone to vacate the building.

 The Stallion Scientists in Mrs. J. Estrada’s 5th grade class at Cerna recently learned about circuits.
