Stallions Investigate Statue of Liberty
Mrs. Treviño’s 3rd grade class at Cerna connected their reading story, “Why is the Statue of Liberty Green?” with a science lab.
They learned that Lady Liberty’s copper naturally oxidized to form its familiar "patina" green coating.
They had so much fun testing this out on their very own copper pennies. Go Stallions!
