EPHS JUNIOR HAS GOT THE POWER

Congratulations goes out to Eagle Pass High School's very own National Honor Society member, Rito Flores, on this huge accomplishment achieved this weekend.

Rito Flores, EPHS Junior, had been training on his own for the Texas Open USA Powerlifting Meet that was held in San Antonio, TX on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

He competed against Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio powerlifting teams and managed to come in 4th place in the 16-17 Teen Category after showcasing his strength in benching, squatting, and deadlifting. His total of 485kg qualifies him for the USAPL Nationals in Memphis, Tennessee.

Rito is currently an AP/Dual Credit student, NHS member, Football & Track team member, who proudly represented Eagle Pass and EPHS after deadlifting a total of 452 lbs.

Rito continues to train for an upcoming Powerlifting Meet in January.
