September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

 September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The gold ribbon is the international symbol for childhood cancer.

Many individuals will wear gold or a gold ribbon during the month of September to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer and honor or memorialize the children who have fought this disease.

EPISD Spirit Ambassadors Kaleb Salinas and Isabella Rodriguez passed gold ribbons and bracelets to show their support to end childhood cancer!

EPISD Spirit Ambassadors Honor Patriots on Patriot Day

 On September 11th, the EPISD Spirit Ambassadors donned their red, white, and blue to ring in Patriot Day!

Patriot Day occurs on September 11 of each year in memory of the victims killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

To celebrate this day that will forever live in infamy, the ambassadors decided to recognize and treat the veterans on their campus.

This group of individuals defended our country with bravery and for that the EPISD Ambassadors thank them!

EPHS WATER WARRIORS HOST FUNDRAISER

On September 4th, the Eagle Pass High School Water Warriors had their first fundraiser of the year at Peter Piper Pizza. 

Throughout this school year, this amazing group of students will participate and work together to serve our community.

EPHS CREATE EFFECTIVE TEACHERS

 Students in Mrs. Venegas' Practicum of Education Class at Eagle Pass High School have been preparing to start their field work at elementary schools by learning what an effective teacher in a classroom looks like. 

They have been working on creating life size teacher posters. 

This project is to describe qualities of an effective teacher and what they see,

hear, and say in a classroom.

The Imagine Nation Awards are part of the Imagine Learning motivational program, igniting engagement and strengthening confidence for all learners. 

More than 38,000 schools and districts throughout the U.S. were eligible for the Imagine Nation Award.

EPISD is proud to announce that they had 3 schools claim awards in 2 categories!
