Lil' Mavs Support #IMPACT

LDC students have joined in the cause and are supporting #IMPACT Week. 

Today, April 24th, they wore their purple shirts and discussed "Being Different , Being Together".

The Lil' Mavs are listening and enjoying presentations provided by Mrs. Miwa, Librarian Aide and Ms. Gonzalez, Counselor. 

They are encouraged to bring out their classmates goodness and allow it to shine!

Lady Eagle Softball is Playoff Bound

Congratulations are in order for Eagle Pass High School's Lady Eagle Softball team as they enter into playoffs this season.

The girls will play in a 2 out of 3 series against McAllen High School in Laredo, Texas.

Game 1

Friday, April 28 at 7:30 PM

Game 2

Saturday, April 29 at 4 PM

Game 3 (if needed)

30 minutes after the completion of Game 2

Tickets will be sold at the gate for $2 for students and $4 for adults.

Benavides Elementary Joins Together for ITBS

Friday, April 21st, Benavides Heights' 4^th and 5^th grade students made banners and treats for the 1^st and 2^nd grade students. 

They wished them the best of luck on their upcoming ITBS Tests. The older Bulldogs wanted to show the younger ones that they are behind them 100%!

LDC'S Happy Helpers

LDC would like to thank the following agencies for taking the time out of their busy schedule and lending a helping hand as judges at their annual field day. 

These include Border Patrol Agents and Police Officer from Eagle Pass' Police Department.

Also, a special Maverick thank you to all the C.C. Winn NHS Members who helped the Lil' Mavs and staff with all Field Day Events.

LDC Lil' Mavs Field Day

On Friday, April 21, 2017 LDC Kinder students had their Field Day. 

They were transported to Memorial Jr. High to start with a day of races. Some of the events they participated in were the 50 yard dash and the Baton Relay. 

Students were excited to participate. They also learned to start and finish the race!

Thank you to all parents and LDC staff for their help and support during this event.

EPISD #IMPACT Week: Gender Equality Day

This week, April 24th - 28th, is Eagle Pass Independent School District's first ever #IMPACT Week. Today, April 24th, is Gender Equality Day!

Liberty Dance Team "Sparklez" at Dance Comp

April 23rd, Libery Elementary's Sparklez Dance Team traveled to San Antonio, Tx to compete at American Cheer Power/ Power Dance's Championships held at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. 

These dynamic dancers competed in both the Jazz and Pom categories and came out victorious in both. 

The girls are now your new American Cheer Power/ Power Dance Champions!
