EPISD Creates Strides in Communication

During the month of May, students and their families throughout EPISD participated in communication enriching activities.
Students who use alternative forms of communication and their parents participated in a 'Make & Take' session.  Other students and their families attended a Support Group for Stutterers.
This past week many students educated their peers and teachers through the morning announcements.
They shared facts and taught them how to interact with someone with a communication challenge.

Congratulations to all students!
Your Speech Pathologists and Speech Pathology Assistants commend you for all of your dedication and hard work this school year.

Rose Ann Hernandez, speech-language pathologist, would like to recognize Lorena (Lori) Aldape for sharing her own personal experience with stuttering and for taking the time to encourage younger generations.  Her words of wisdom inspired current students and their families.
