Stallions Multiply Success

3rd grade students from Mrs. Ramon's Class at Armando Cerna Elementary practiced their multiplication in class on February 20th using dice. 

Students have been working with multiplication in various ways, daily with their basic facts, multiplication with and without regrouping, and area.

Students enjoyed getting together with partners, rolling the dice, and creating their own multiplication number sentences. 

Students will then tell their partners what products they would get and their partners would check their responses. 

Great job Stallions! 

Bobcats Visit MJH

On February 21st, Henry B. Gonzalez' 6th grade classes visited Memorial Jr. High for a brief orientation on classes and extra curricular groups they could join when they were promoted to the 7th grade. 

Way to go Bobcats!

EPHS Receives Campus Rating and Stars

Eagle Pass High School received their campus distinctions for 2021-2022.

EPHS Wins AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award

The Computer Science Field of Technology is always in search of talented young students who are interested in a career within the field.

Eagle Pass High School has therefore been recognized for providing opportunities and encouraging young female students to participate in AP Computer Science Courses.

This honor recognizes the outstanding work that EPHS is doing to engage more female students in computer science.

EPHS proudly congratulates Angelina Conde, Gabriela Santoyo, Kelly Alvarez, Rebecca Cumpian, and Fe Ruiz for their participation and impact to the AP Computer Science Course.

In a constantly evolving and complex world, it's more important than ever that our nation's youth are prepared to bring knowledge and skills to solve problems, make sense of information, and know how to gather and evaluate evidence to make decisions.

Eagle Pass High School also recognizes and commends C.C. Winn Teacher, Mr. Jose Jimenez for his guidance and dedication to teaching the Computer Science Course for helping to prepare these young students with the skills that develop them in science, technology, engineering, and math, including computer science—disciplines collectively known as STEM/CS.

Mrs. Flores’ 2nd grade class at Cerna worked in pairs to write and describe about their favorite Bill of Right.

They presented their drawings and writings to the class as they learned together to celebrate freedom.

Silverline Celebrates Presidents' Day

 Monday, February 20th, CC Winn Silverline Dance Team celebrated Presidents' Day!

The girls decided to honor our nation's past and present leaders the best way they know how...through dance!

The girls, with the help of their campus' Media Tech Dept, donned their traditional Bugle Boy costumes and performed and recorded their "Candyman" routine.

With the help of Media Tech, the team was able to share their routine with their community, family, and friends so that everyone can salute the leaders of our beloved country.

EPJ Makes Music in Miner Country

Monday, February 20th, Eagle Pass Junior High Band members and Directors visited the 6th grade students at Seco Mines Elementary.

The band members showcased the different instruments and talked about the classes available to the the 6th graders next year at EPJ when they move up to 7th grade,

The Miners thanked EPJ band for taking the time to visit them!
