This is just a friendly reminder For most Eagle Pass families in the midst of back to school shopping- the Annual Sales Tax Holiday is scheduled for August 8 through August 10.
Most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 are exempt from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
The lists of apparel and school supplies that may be purchased tax free can be found on the Comptroller’s website at www.TexasTaxHoliday.org.
