Over the summer Memorial Junior High science teacher Alejandra Martinez completed a six-week internship at the University of Texas Institute of Geophysics, where she had the opportunity to work with other teachers to organize and revise the content of units created as part of the Diversity and Innovation for Sciences Texas Instructional Blueprint project. Working closely with other Earth science teachers exposed her to new teaching practices and allowed her to build relationships that will last for many years.
