Hispanic Heritage Youth Award

C.C. Winn High School is proud to announce its 17th Hispanic Heritage Youth Award Recipient.  Established by the White House in 1987, this nonprofit organization seeks to inspire, prepare, and position Latino leaders in the classroom, community and workforce. C.C. Winn has been working this scholarship since the inception of its College Advising program. This year they had one recipient in Dallas and one in Houston.

Congratulations to Juan Omar De Hoyos, who was a silver recipient in the Innovation and Technology category in Dallas, TX.  The award ceremony took place at Southern Methodist University

Congratulations to Jose Sanchez who was also a Silver recipient in the Innovation and Technology category in Houston, TX. The award Ceremony took place at Rice University.
Entering its 16th year, the Youth Awards honor Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community for their focus in various categories including Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, Healthcare, Education, and Business and Finance.

Congratulations to the C.C Winn High School and best of luck to these two ambitious young men.
