You Got a "Buddy" in Winn StuCo

The Buddy Foundation is a fairly new non-profit organization that was created to provide an alternative for homeless pets throughout our community by giving them a second chance to a happy life.  Through donations acquired they are able to save pets in need and provide them with veterinary care and foster homes while they await adoption.

C.C. Winn High School has been donating their time, as well as various products to help them with their charitable work.

On July 22nd, C.C. Winn Student Council made a large donation of sodas to the Buddy Foundation for their BBQ brisket plate sale to be held July 30th. Student Council and  National Honor Society have also made several donations of dog food, bedding, blankets, collars, etc. for those pets that are rescued and held while receiving medical treatment.

Earlier this summer StuCo officers and members attended “Buddy & Maddie's Birthday Pawty” held at the Maverick County Lake. The students had a blast playing with the pets put up for adoption while volunteering to carry signs and collect donations to help fund the rescues.  The event had an amazing turn out and 11 dogs were adopted that day!

Winn’s JROTC and StuCo members have also participated in the “Buddy Wash”, where they volunteered to bathe their new furry friends in efforts to help raise funds for the Buddy Foundation.
