Mrs. Duran's AP Biology class at Winn High School spent an interesting week learning about Genetics.
Wednesday, January 16th, students wrapped up the unit by researching different genetics disorders/diseases.
Students researched causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatments/therapies, associations, and where one can receive help if diagnosed with the disorder.
Students then created an informational brochure of information, which they then presented to the class.
The topics presented consisted of: Albinism, Down Syndrome, Colorblindness, Hemophilia, and Huntington's Disease.
Mrs. Duran was impressed with the student's enthusiasm, hard work, and of course the final product.
