Tuesday, February 25, 2020, Mrs. Ibarra's First Grade Graves Elementary Tigers were asked to get their taco, choose a mask. and wear some necklaces. They had no idea what all of these things meant. After a class lesson on Mardi Gras and it's meaning they soon learned why it is celebrated and the meaning of the three colors- green for faith, purple for justice, and gold for power. Alejandra Trejo was more than happy to celebrate Fat Tuesday! Go Tigers!
