On Wednesday, March 23rd, C.C. Winn High School sophomore, Naelea Sifuentes, was recognized for her outstanding achievement at the Texas Health and Occupation Students of America (HOSA) Area 1 Spring Leadership Conference recently held in San Antonio, TX.
HOSA, an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Division of the Association of Career and Technical Education, promotes career opportunities in the healthcare industry by preparing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully pursue a career in the medical field.
Naelea placed 4th in Veterinary Science out of over 50 competitors.
Naela is currently a student in the Health Science Academy and is also a Sports Medicine Student Athletic Trainer.
