District 28-5A Zone Winningplay ‘She Kills Monsters’ tobe presented April 12 at SAC
The Theater at C.C. Winn High School will present their UIL One Act Play District 28-5A Zone A Winning Play entitled “She Kills Monsters” on April 12, 2023 at the Gonzalez Fine Arts Center at the Student Activity Center.
Winn will join Memorial Jr. High School, Eagle Pass High School and guest Del Rio High School in a “Night of One Act Plays,” which will begin at 6 p.m.
Tickets to watch all four plays are only $5.00 per person and can be purchased at the door or from any student or director at each campus.
The four plays will run back-to-back beginning at 6 p.m.
“She Kills Monsters” is a play featuring a Dungeons and Dragons adventure a girl takes to join her sister, who died in a auto accident, in a fantasy world that brings the two sisters closer together.
22 C.C. Winn students will perform in the one act play set in Athens, Ohio in 1995.
The play is directed by Adolfo Flores Jr., who is completing his 35 th year of teaching with EPISD.
Senior Maria “Max” Vallejo plays Agnes and her sister is played by junior Serenity Zuniga. Other lead actors include sophomore Enrique “Ricky” Escobedo as Chuck, sophomore James Fowler as Orcus and sophomore Delilah Hernandez, who plays several roles including the Narrator, Farrah and Vera.
