Seco Mines Creates Pumpkin Masterpieces
"He's such a character!" You may have heard that phrase before when it refers to someone who is mischievous or funny, however characters can be so much more than that! Seco Mines Elementary recently created a project that helped young readers identify key details in a story. Often, in books for young readers, the characters are animals, so the school used pumpkins to show characters from various books. The Miners would like to thank all the parents for their participation in these projects! Thanks to the efforts of parents, staff, and students the project was a smashing success. Seco Mines has a Positive Career Day
Seco Mines Elementary had "A Positive Career on Me" Day on Thursday, October 27, 2016. The Super Miners had the opportunity to learn about various careers and discuss their choice of careers with teachers and other students. Everyone had a great time and learned a great deal about different types of careers. After this event, there is no doubt about it. Maverick County will certainly have some fine future leaders to keep us safe and secure!EPHS Gets "Inside Out" For Halloween
On Halloween, some of Eagle Pass High School's kooky Science Department got decked out for the holiday and for Homecoming festivities! The group delightfully dressed as the gang from Disney-Pixar's "Inside Out". Their costumes were fun and science related! The perfect combination!
