Yesterday, March 19, was Spring Literacy Night at Henry B. Gonzalez (HBG). The event was used to promote and cultivate student reading habits, promote parent involvement, and create a POSITIVE school climate.
This year HBG elementary students were visited by a very special group of guests. Members of the Gypsy MC and Eagle Rider MC were special guest readers for the students. They also talked about the importance of reading, and focused on the need of a good education. As expected many of the special guests rode to the event on their steel horses to show them off and to provide memorable moments for the students of HBG.
The bikers along with the teachers of HBG and support staff ensured it was an unforgettable night that was a complete success.
Huge thanks to the members of both the Gypsy MC and Eagle Riders MC for sharing their time and emphasizing the importance of reading with the students of HBG!
