The Eagle Pass Independent School District has partnered with local businesses throughout our city to highlight the Teacher of the Month program, which honors educators who have made a difference in our community. The program recognizes outstanding kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school teachers in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Mrs. Annabella Barrow of C.C. Winn High School, has been selected as the “Teacher of the Month” for March 2015. Mrs. Barrow is an interactive, engaging, creative, and highly involved Art teacher. Students that perform marginally in other classes are exceeding their own expectations in her classroom. The energy level she maintains is one of the many reasons her students are motivated to learn. Mrs. Barrow is constantly encouraging her students to exceed the standards regarding art projects in her classroom and personal goals outside the classroom. Her energized teaching and constant encouragement is a testimony to the educational experience her students receive. Mrs. Barrow embodies the profession of teaching. The key to her continued success and student achievement is the ability she possesses to transmit her passion for teaching to all she encounters. It is evident in her style of teaching, that education is not only about content instruction; it is about encouraging kids and enlightening them to seek out knowledge to become lifelong learners. Mrs. Barrow excels with the education of all students by promoting an environment that nourishes the potential that lies beneath every student. It is because of these traits and characteristics she has been awarded the title of "Teacher of the Month."
