Eagle Pass Independent School District has partnered with local businesses throughout our city to highlight the Teacher of the Month program, which honors educators who have made a difference in our community. The program recognizes outstanding kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school teachers in Eagle Pass, Texas.
The word excellence is what comes to mind when one thinks of Seidy Pader. Ms. Pader is excellence personified in not only the eyes of her peers, but her students as well. Ms. Pader has taught at Memorial Junior High for 9 years and during this time Ms. Pader has worn many hats. She always extends herself to new teachers and is very compassionate with her students providing them with supplies and staying after school to tutor her struggling students and all this is done from the kindness of her heart. You see, it isn't about a paycheck with Ms. Pader, it is about the passion for teaching. Her passion is evident in her STAAR scores. Her mission is to reach her students no matter what it may take. She understands that students have different learning styles and that is why she uses a variety of teaching methods and interventions in her classroom. Everyone at Memorial knows what Ms. Pader does in her classroom because she is always the first one to share whatever she has done or is doing with her peers. At the end of the day, Ms. Pader wants ALL students to succeed, not just the ones sitting in her room and because of this she has even begun to raise money for an out of town staff development training so that her department can flourish and learn everything they can for their students at Memorial Junior High. For all these reasons and more, Ms. Seidy Pader is your November Teacher of the Month.
A segment will appear on iVision throughout the month of November detailing many more accomplishments of Ms. Pader. This month she will also appear on community media, news publications and the EPISD website throughout November 2016.
