Every year, our local HEB selects a school in Eagle Pass to be the recipient of a special token of appreciation. This year, the lucky staff that was chosen was none other than the proud C. C. Winn Mavericks. The entire staff was pleasantly surprised on Monday, August 21st, during their morning session with a snack pack filled with healthy goodies.
HEB representatives took a few minutes to address the staff in wishing us the Mavericks an excellent 2017-2018 school year. Through this kind and thoughtful gesture, HEB reminded the staff at Winn High that the role they play in their children's education matters. It is the thoughtful recognitions showing appreciation for the educators of Eagle Pass that unite our community and create a strong bond that undoubtedly plays an important role in the success of the children of our community.
Maverick teachers were truly touched by this kind gesture and wish to express their sincere gratitude to our local HEB. The C. C. Winn Mavericks are now ready to start a successful 2017-2018 school year!
