Ray Darr Instructional Officer, Mr. Carrillo made a friendly wager with a 6th grade Mav, JJ Ballesteros.
Mr. Carrillo bet that if JJ placed at the UIL Meet, then he would do 20 push ups and if JJ lost then JJ would do the 20 push ups.
Well as fate would have it, JJ placed 3rd placed in Listening Skills!
Monday, December 10th, JJ cashed in the bet and Mr. Carrillo held up his deal.
Mr. Carrillo told the students never say you can’t do something and remember sometimes it takes more practice and dedication to succeed.
