Wednesday, December 5th, C.C Winn students gifted A.P Biology teacher Mrs. Duran a bag filled with goodies to show the appreciation they have towards her.
The bag was filled with chocolate goodies to release serotonin in the brain, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for the feeling of happiness, which was from one of Mrs. Duran's recent lessons.
The bag also included a Christmas card containing a “thank you” note and a few science jokes like, “What did the thermometer tell the graduated cylinder? You may have graduated, but I have many degrees.”
Mrs. Duran is open to creative ideas from the students for fun labs and her classroom provides a stress free zone for the students who feel overwhelmed.
For this, and many reasons more her student appreciate her!
