Tuesday, January 8th, Liberty Elementary recognized 6th grader Michelle Lynn Torralba for her great success at the All American Softball Youth Tournament in Orlando, Florida January 2nd - 5th.
Michelle was selected from hundreds of candidates and teamed up with girls from across the nation to form the team Firecrackers.
The Firecrackers played six games to win the Championship.
Michelle hit an infield Grand Slam bringing in 4 runs to seal the Championship 9 to 5 against Freedom.
Michelle also competed in the HomeRun Derby and ranked 18th out of 35 hitters!
Proud parents Michael and Letty Torralba and brother Michael II.
Coaches are Paola Del Valle from Puerto Rico (played college softball) and Jose Vera from the Dominican Republic (played professional baseball).
Graves would like to applaud Michelle for this triumph and proudly representing Liberty and Eagle Pass.
