PreAp students in Mrs. Idalia Salinas' English II class at WHS read the novel, "That's Not What Happened" by Kody Keplinger.
The novel is about the aftermath of a school shooting.
The characters in the novel deal with their own trauma and try to navigate through their daily lives afterwards.
The students were tasked with taking on a character persona and creating an Instagram profile with five posts using the events of the novels.
The students were very creative when embodying the characters' lives. Some of the students even used their own pictures to become the characters in the novel.
