PreAP students in Idalia Salinas' English II class at WHS read the novel, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
The novel is set in the backdrop of World War II in a German town called Molching where a young girl named Liesel Meminger fights for survival in an unsure world. Students are working on persuasive essays using the novel as inspiration.
They chose whether they believed that humans were beautiful or brutal.
They used the book and the real world to find examples of human being beautiful or brutal.
Students created amazing presentations to drive forward their position.
Using their examples, the students presented to the class.
The audience was made aware of the way humans are beautiful or brutal in many ways.
